CONGRATULATIONS ON PASSING YOUR ROAD TEST WITH THE NEXT STREET!
Welcome to the driver’s seat. 🎉
We’re thrilled to celebrate this exciting milestone with you as you embark on the journey of a lifetime as a new driver. Before you hit the road, just make sure to buckle up these last few tasks.
YOU'VE PASSED! NOW WHAT?
How do my test results get processed?
There is no need to worry about making any further appointments or standing in line at the DMV to process your test results- the DMV agent submits it and you’re all set!Â
When and how do I pay my DMV test fees?
24 hours after your test date, you can go to the DMV portal to pay your driver’s license fee of $84. Attempting to pay early may result in a delay of processing your driver’s license.
When prompted for student information, please copy the information EXACTLY as it appears on your permit, even if there are changes that need to be made.
Can I drive before I get my new driver's license?
You will be able to drive today on your own with your Temporary License Card, Permit, and proof of insurance. Keep these items with you at all times while driving. Please make sure to contact your insurance company for coverage prior to driving on your own.
How long is my temporary license good for?
Your temporary license will expire 30 days from when you pass your test- however, you should receive your hard copy of your license by then in the mail. If you do not receive it and it expires, you must resort back to the permit laws until it arrives.
Do I have to take a new picture for my license?
Your permit photo will be transferred onto your new driver’s license.
